Albanian Village Discovery Tour Details

 Arrival at Tirana airport.

Meet and greet by your tour guide. Transfer to Gjirokastër and check in to the hotel.

City tour, your flight schedule dictates the intensity of this tour.

Wander through the Old Bazaar, a labyrinth of narrow, winding streets lined with stone buildings. Here, you can shop for traditional handicrafts, silver jewelry, and souvenirs. Stop for a coffee or a traditional Albanian meal in one of the quaint restaurants. The atmosphere is rich in history, and you’ll get a true taste of local life. Your journey starts at the imposing Gjirokastër Castle, one of the largest and most well-preserved in the Balkans. Dating back to the 12th century, it offers panoramic views of the city and the surrounding valley. As you explore the castle, you’ll find military museums, old cannons, and the eerie observation tower that looks out over the picturesque town.

Either a lunch or dinner, it remains delicious and energizing.  Enjoy pickled vegetables and roasted meat variety.

Overnight in Gjirokastër.

Traveling 

·        After breakfast, we will head to our second stop - Përmet, where we’ll have a city guided tour.

·        Overnight in Përmet.

·        Breakfast. Përmet is right by the Vjosa river, which for the next couple of years at least remains Europe’s last “wild river”.

·         Our day will begin then with a rafting experience.

·        In the afternoon, we’ll move to the village of Rehovë, where we’ll spend the night.

·        After breakfast, we take on east. In the afternoon we’ll arrive at the city of Korça.

·        Tour of the city.

·        Overnight in Korça.

·        Breakfast. After the Korça, we will head to the Lake Ohrid, where we’ll stop for lunch

·        In the afternoon we’ll be heading into the little-known Shebenik-Jabllanice National Park.

Here we’ll be staying in a small village.

·        Breakfast. Today we’ll explore the town of Shebenik.

·        In the late afternoon we’ll make a move, which take us to the Capital - Tirana.

Overnight in Tirana

·        After breakfast, we will have city guided tour of Tirana.

·        Tirana city tour and visit the Atonic bunker, the National Historical Museum, Statue of Skanderbeg, Et’hem Bey Mosque, The Clock Tower, Government buildings, Roman Catholic Church of Saint Paul, Tabakëve and Terzive bridges. 

·        Overnight in Tirana.

·        Breakfast. Day of leisure in Tirana. Explore the city by your own.

·        Overnight in Tirana.

·        Breakfast. Berat is very small so this gives us chance to explore it on foot and see the key sites.

·        The town is famous with its white-washed houses with many windows which give it the nickname “town of a thousand windows”.

·        We will visit the Fortress, Onufri Museum and several churches and mosques. 

·        Overnight in Berat.

·        Breakfast. Today we’ll continue to Durras where we’ll spend our last night.

·        We’ll have a city tour and free evening.

 Overnight in Durres.

·        Departure after breakfast.

·         Transfer to Tirana Airport.

·        End of our services.
